The final report of the Nurture Nature Center’s research is out. The report details the team's research which was designed to elicit feedback from coastal communities. Residents, emergency personnel and broadcast meteorologists were asked how they understand and use products from the National Weather Service’s (NWS) coastal flood and storm surge forecast and warning products and tools. These emergency briefing packages (briefings) are issued by the NWS Weather Forecast Offices during extreme weather events and were an important public tool during Superstorm Sandy in 2012.
